Save Lives Sonoma came about through the efforts of a dedicated committee made up of key personnel from Sonoma Life Support/American Medical Response, American Heart Association, Bodega Bay Fire Department, Coast Life Support District (CLSD), Central Fire Authority of Sonoma County, Coastal Valleys EMS Agency, REDCOM, Dr. McKeith: Sonoma Life Support Medical Director, Dr. Luoto: Sonoma County Regional Medical Director, Santa Rosa Fire Department, Kaiser, Sutter Health, Northern California Medical Associates (NCMA), Santa Rosa City Schools, St. Jude Memorial Hospital, Medtronic, Petaluma Fire Department, Philips, American Red Cross, Sonoma County Paramedic Association, Sonoma Valley Fire, SOS CPR, Petaluma Healthcare District, Rancho Adobe Fire Department, and St. Joseph Memorial Hospitals, as well as a recent local cardiac arrest survivor – honored at the 2011 Sonoma County Survivor’s Reunion.
Save Lives Sonoma works closely with organizations that offer professional training courses in emergency medical services and cardiac life saving techniques. Save Lives Sonoma has no oversight over these organizations, but each is plays an important role in achieving our goal of increasing sudden cardiac arrest survival rates through education.
